He had many accomplishments such as becoming a general in the American army and becoming the seventh president of the United States.
Andrew Jackson died on June 8th, 1845, in Nashville, Tennessee
Election of 1824: Andrew Jackson ran against John Quincy Adams. Jackson won a plurality of the votes but didn't win because the House of Representatives elected Adams.
The "Corrupt Bargain": It is believed that Adams won because he made a bargain with Henry Clay that if he persuaded the House Of Representatives to vote for him as president, he'd elect clay as Secretary of State.
In the next election/Election of 1828, Andrew Jackson won, this time beating John Adams.
