  • Examples of Newton's Laws of Motion By Beren
  • A hush falls over the crowd...
  • HOME RUN!!!
  • OH NO

  • ... one giant leap for mankind!
  • The ball is moving towards the batter at 50N
  • When the bat comes into contact with the ball at 90N it creates an unbalanced force making the ball move in the other direction with a net force of 40N, by doing so it represents Newton's First Law of Motion, Inertia
  • This is an example of Newton's 3rd law of motion which states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. In this example the action is the rocket releasing the gases and the reaction is the gases pushing back and blasting off the rocket.

  • That's one small step for man...
  • The car is accelerating at 5 m/s2. After 9 seconds the car is traveling at a speed of 45 m/s.
  • Then the car stops accelerating by traveling at a constant rate of 45 m/s. Other ways to change the acceleration of an object is by increasing or decreasing speed and by having balanced forces. The car is an example on Newton's Second Law of Motion, acceleration.
  • The rocket pushes out the gases which causes the gas to push on the back onto the rocket from the moon's surface making it blast off.
