Montresor tells Fortunado he purchased a cask of Amontillado, and Fortunado demands to taste it, to see if it's good.
Amontillado!
Let us go to my vaults.
Montreso tells Fortunado about his family vaults.
And the motto?
Nemo me impune lacessit.
Fortunado was dressed like a jester, so I gave him that costume. Montresor had a black hood, so I gave him an executioner costume. I tried to make the background look like somewhere at carnival. Fortunado is happy to see him and Montresor is shaking his hand.
Fortunado is showing off his membership of the Masonry.
You? Impossible! A mason? You jest!
Be it so.
I made Fortunado look angry, because he is trying to convince Montresor that Luchresi has bad taste. I tried to make Montresor look like he's not trying to inconvenience him.
Montresor chains Fortunado to the wall.
Ahh!
Yes...the Amontillado.
I made Montresor look concentrated, because the family heritage is important. The setting now is the caves below, where the Amontillado is.
Montresor seals Fortunado in the cave.
Montresor is mimicking a literal mason. Fortunado is teasing him because he is not in the exclusive group, after he does a strange movement.
I put Fortunado on the wall so it would look like he was stuck there. In the story he was screaming, so I made him yell. They are still talking about the Amontillado.
I made Montresor facing the tomb to show he is sealing it up.
