Storyboard Text

  • On this specific night, Nick had trouble sleeping because he felt compelled to warn Gatsby about something important.
  • Nick advises Gatsby that Gatsby needs to lay low, forget about Daisy, and leave Long Island. Gatsby wasn't feeling this idea at all,and he refused to leave Daisy behind.
  • Gatsby spoke on and on about Daisy about his deep love for her, how he idolized her social position, wealth, and popularity. He added that she was the first girl he was close enough to, to lie about his background so he can seem worthy of her love.
  • Gatsby's gardener interrupts the story to tell Gatsby that he plans on draining the water from the pool, and Gatsby tells him to wait one more day because he hasn't used the pool yet.
  • Wilson eventually went to Gatsby's house where he found Gatsby lying in the pool, just chilling, and then Wilson shot Gatsby killing him instantly, then he shot and killed himself.
  • Nick had rushed back to West Egg to discover Gatsby's floating dead body in his pool. Nick immediately imagined Gatsby's final thoughts, and pictured hi disillusioned by the meaningless and emptiness of his life without Daisy ... without his dream.
