Storyboard Text

  • In 1830, Andrew Jackson, also known as "exterminator of Indians" signed the Indian Removal Act. The relocation process dispossessed the Indians and resulted in widespread death of people and of culture.
  • When will we arrive?
  • We are almost there, Sir.
  • That is how everything has started. They made us many promises, more that I can remember. But they kept only one. They promised to take our land and they took it.
  • We had to survive for many years until 2020 when one person changed everything...
  • HOW'S THAT!? What was next???
  • We had to survive for many years... until one person changed everything.
  • It wasn't easy for those people who stayed. But one man called Amrit was too smart and too ambitious to put up with that life.
  • I can't give up. I have to help people from my tribe!
  • Later on he made some powerful acquaintances that led him right to the teacher's desk in a good school.
  • Remember, students, that native americans' population is decreasing rapidly and what is more important they are losing their culture.
  • So what can we do?
  • Mister, did you know that...
  • And his students started to spread his ideas. In the beginning simply went out into the streets, distributed papers and share their thoughts with strangers.
