  • The Cross-Bridge cycle is the process by which proteins in our muscles slide past each other and cause motion
  • We use our muscles every day for various activities.
  • Muscle Fibers are made of sarcomeres
  • Sarcomeres are the functional unit of the muscles.
  • Muscles are made of muscle fibers
  • Movement occurs when the Actin (thin lines) slide past the Myosin (thick lines) and get closer to each other
  • The proteins inside the sarcomeres move back and forth causing the flexing motion we may see while walking or using our arms.
