Storyboard Text
The Cross-Bridge cycle is the process by which proteins in our muscles slide past each other and cause motion
We use our muscles every day for various activities.
Muscle Fibers are made of sarcomeres
Sarcomeres are the functional unit of the muscles.
Muscles are made of muscle fibers
Movement occurs when the Actin (thin lines) slide past the Myosin (thick lines) and get closer to each other
The proteins inside the sarcomeres move back and forth causing the flexing motion we may see while walking or using our arms.
