Storyboard Text

  • While at an extremely boring meeting, Johnny 5 asks what sales are. Linda replies, "What kind of question is that?" Johnny says, "No. What are they actually?"
  • "Like, I know what they are. In our society, it's just people trading with other people for profit. They don't care what they're buying and selling, they just want the dinero."
  • But, what's the meaning? We're just supposed to fill out a quota, right? If corporate is satisfied, then we get to go home. Is this what life is? Is there more to sales, or is just a way to justify being a terrible person?
  • "I see all these people traveling the world, and just enjoying their life. But they make pretty much no money. Is money the meaning of life? I don't understand.
  • "After work, I'm just going to go home and microwavable dinner and watch old TV shows. Then I'll go to bed and wake up the next day and go to this godforsaken job again. I'm trapped and the meaning of life is my way out."
  • Johnny
