  • We need 9 out of 13 states to formally approve this new Constitution.

  • More rights for the people!
  • Delegate James Wilson presented the 3/5 Compromise. The compromise stated that each slave was to be counted as 3/5 of a person towards the state's population.
  • Add a Bill of Rights!
  • Rights are important!
  • One of the last problems of the Constitutional Convention, was actually ratifying the new document.
  • Federalists want to have a stronger central government in order to ratify the Constitution.
  • Anti-Federalists are worried about the rights of the people and want to include a Bill of Rights.
