Storyboard Text

  • Upon discovering the object of her affection is a werewolf, the wife of Bisclavaret leaves him for a knight
  • Bisclavaret, betrayed by his true love, departs into the wilderness
  • Whilst hunting with his pack animals, the king finds Bisclavaret
  • The Wife of Bisclavaret and her newfound love claim the estate here seen as their own after Bisclavaret flees
  • The King becomes close to the beast, and allows him to live in his Castle.
  • Liberated from the iron chains of clothing, he remains a werewolf until he is given raiment and a secluded space to transform
  • When the beast sees his ex-wife in a lodge, he is driven by wrath to forcefully remove her nose from her face.
  • The King befriends him, saying Bisclavaret "has the sense of a man."
  • Bisclavaret is discovered to be a man and permitted to transform into his human form.
  • The beast becomes known to the subjects of the King as having a benevolent disposition.
  • The populace is shocked by news of Bisclavaret's sudden violence.
  • He is granted back his estate, and his ex-wife and her husband are exiled.
