We are similar because we are both eukaryotic which means we have a nucleus, we are also both animal cells and multi cellular which means we are a part of a bigger organ system, but we have two very different jobs
Right now I am just a small part of a much bigger organism. I am part of a human, and that human is standing in the cold. My job is to help move this persons muscles.
I am also just a small part of this human, but my job is very different, I tell the brain what is happening and i tell the muscle cell to contract when the brain tells it to.
Together we communicate to keep the balance in the organism, or in other terms stay in homeostasis
I'll get you, you no nucleus cell!
Look there goes a Prokaryotic bacteria cell that may do harm to the body, but im not worried the white blood cell will get it
We can help the body stay in homeostasis! Right now the human is cold so I send the message from the brain to the muscles that the body is cold.
When the nerve cell tells me that it is cold, me and all of my friends in the muscular system shiver to create heat for the body to maintain the homeostasis of the body
Wow since its cold outside, I started shivering, I wonder if that's my muscle cells trying to maintain my homeostasis
