  • I have everything i could want,yet i am still not happy.
  • Why me? This is so painful.
  • How come he can be so happy? He has nothing.
  • Siddhartha Gautama was born into a wealthy family as an Indian prince. He could afford to have anything he wanted but his father never let him see the outside world. He was unhappy.
  • Eventually Siddhartha Gautama managed to escape from the palace and went to the streets where he saw old age, illness and death for the first time in his life.
  • Siddhartha Gautama continued onwards an d saw a man who ha nothing but a small wooden begging bowl. Despite his unfortunate situation he still managed to be happy.
  • He mediated underneath a tree and vowed not to stand until he had found the answer. He stopped eating and got rid of the money he had in a attempt to reach the same happy state as the monk he saw.
