  •
  • My arms are tired!
  • Today we will write the Declaration of Independence.
  • BREAK!
  • FREEDOM!!
  • The first section of the Declaration of Independence is called the preamble.
  • The Preamble is explaining to King George III that we are breaking away from him and Great Britain.
  • That is a pretty big list
  • The Natural Rights are rights that we the colonists think we should have.
  • The next section of the Declaration of Independence is the Natural Rights!
  • Some Natural Rights are: All men are created equal. We the people will give the Government power and can take it away from them.
  • We also put a list of Grievances in the Declaration of Independence. Grievances are complaints to King George III.
  • 2 grievances we have encountered are when King George´s troops came into our homes and ate our food and slept in our beds. Another complaint is that you (King George) has cut off our trade to the rest of the world, which is intolerable!
  • The Unalienable Rights are rights that cannot be taken away.
  • These rights are: 1 Life. Which means you cannot take life away from us/you can not kill. 2 liberty, which means we will always be free. Lastly 3, Pursuit of Happiness, which means we shall always be happy.
  • Declaration of independence
