With all of that out of the way, atoms are the basic building blocks of all life. Atoms determine what an object's properties are.
That's a lot of stuff about atoms. What about atomic mass in elements?
Atomic mass is the mass of an atom of a chemical element expressed in atomic mass units.
Atomic Theory is a scientific theory of the nature of matter, which states that matter is composed of discrete units called atoms.
The atomic mass number is based on the number of protons within the atoms of the element. It also depends on the element.
Isotopes are different forms of an element that have the same number of protons but different numbers of neutrons. Atomic mass does not differ in isotopes.
Thanks Francis. I'm all ready for this atomic theory test!!!
