Storyboard Text

  • I love studying the Spanish language! It just amazes me how different it really is from English!
  • I hope my Mexican family is nice!
  • Congratulations Class of 2016
  • I did it!!! I'm on my way to Spain to put my Spanish into practice!
  • Julie loved to study Spanish. She took all the classes she could in high school and in college.
  • Uuuhhh..... como se dice.... uuuuhhh!!!
  • Julie enjoyed learning Spanish so much that during college she studied abroad for a year in Mexico. A Mexican family opened their home to her and spoke daily with them in Spanish.
  • Perdón. Por favor disculpame.
  • After her graduation from college, the company Julie was working for was excited to send her to Spain to work for an up and coming company where she could grow and become successful.
  • Julie has learned a great deal of Spanish throughout the years. Unfortunately, when she is in a formal Spanish conversational setting, she begins to overuse her monitor which then does not allow her to communicate effectively. She begins to forget the grammar rules for Spanish and hence her speech begins to slow down to the point where she loses her train of thought.
  • During her very first meeting with one the company's representatives, her Spanish conversation was flowing smoothly until she could not recall the correct verb form of an irregular verb in the subjunctive.
  • Julie had to apologize because she completely lost her train of thought as soon as she paused to think of the correct verb usage. She quickly ended the conversation and excused herself from the meeting.
