  • OK class, who can tell me anything about the battle for Vimy Ridge?
  • The battle was fought during the First World War, and it happened in France
  • It was 15000 Canadian soldiers that won the battle for the ridge
  • Tomorrow four Canadian divisions of Canadian troops and one of British will be storming the beach. 
  • This shows a hypothetical briefing of Canadian soldiers that would have taken place on April 8th, 1917. One day before the war started
  • There will be bloodshed and some of you may not come home, but don't forget what we're here for boys!
  •  On the historical April 9th, 191 at 5:30am, Canadian and British soldiers stormed the beach at  Vimy France. The battle went on for four days, in the end 3598 Canadians were killed with 7000 more being wounded. However the Canadians where successful as the German troops surrendered.
