  • After the discovery of Gold in Georgia, it pressured slave to produce cotton. The Congress passed the Indian Removal Act where it lead to the deprivation of land of the Amerindian people. Which lead to Cherokee to designate a Indian territory where they protect their independence.
  • The ancient buffalo-hunting culture of the plains were a custom to the indigenous community like the Cheyenne and the Lakota. A treaty was established between the Lakota and the US government forbidding white settlements in the black hills, sacred to Lakota and other plains. 
  • After European Immigrants and American settlers arrived in Dakota Territory, dramatic changes were made by the railroads.  Many Amerindians were now attracted to Wovoka, a Ghost Dance Leader believing that he can liberate them by dancing the Ghost dance and that it would vanish invaders. As a result they will live in peace and prosperity.
