  • On the night of April 18,1775 hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord to seize an arms cache.
  • Little do they know that before the British troops set off, Paul Revere set off to warn others that the British was coming.
  • 700 British troops arrived in Lexington at dawn to found 77 militamen gathered on the town's green.
  • How did they......
  • The two commanders signaled to fire and as the smoke cleared out, eight militamen lay dead and nine wounded. While one redcoat was injured.
  • The British soon walked to Concord in search of arms but it was not there. They decided to burn what was little left behind.
  • The British decided to retreat and started there long march towards Boston.
