Battle of Lexington and Concord

On the night of April 18,1775 hundreds of British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord to seize an arms cache.
Little do they know that before the British troops set off, Paul Revere set off to warn others that the British was coming.
700 British troops arrived in Lexington at dawn to found 77 militamen gathered on the town's green.
How did they......
The two commanders signaled to fire and as the smoke cleared out, eight militamen lay dead and nine wounded. While one redcoat was injured.
The British soon walked to Concord in search of arms but it was not there. They decided to burn what was little left behind.
The British decided to retreat and started there long march towards Boston.
