Storyboard Text

  • The Sniper
  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • By: Justin and Tyler
  • Climax
  • This image displays a bullet going into the enemy snipers head suddenly before his death.
  • "Here and throughout the city, machine guns and rifles broke the silence of the night, spasmodically, like dogs barking on lone farms. Republicans and free Staters were aging civil war." This is the exposition of the story where the setting is revealed and we learn what's happening in the story, Republicans and Free Staters were going to Civil War. This identifies hostility in the story.
  • Falling Action
  • STOP
  • The Sniper decided to take two puffs of a cigarette, and then put it out to minimize the light being seen in the darkness with enemies watching.
  • Resolution
  • "The revolver went off with a concussion and the bullet whizzed past the sniper's head." This is the climax in the story, as his opponent was now dead. He becomes curious of the identity of the enemy sniper, so he darts across the street to find him. Then, suddenly, while crossing the street he is almost shot by rapid machine gun fire. He made it across safely, and the machine gun stopped firing.
  • After the sniper made it across the street without being shot as a machine gun was rapidly firing at him, he goes over to the dead body to see if it was someone he knew. Before he recognizes the person, at the moments between the shots ending and him turning over the body, he is safe. Silence occurs. There's no more action, everything is muted and serene.
  • A moment of peace happens in the falling action as the sniper turns over the dead body, and then the resolution happens when he realizes it's his brother face. He realizes he now killed his brother who was also involved in the Civil War, and now his bother is simply dead. That's it.
