  • BIRTH: This event was positive because it was the start of my life. This would have affected my physical health positively because the baby receives maternal antibodies from their mother after birth which boosts your immunity. Babies who are naturally born get protective bacteria which trains them to learn what good and bad bacteria is. This was positive emotionally because skin to skin contact with your mother improves your bond.

  • FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN: This day was significant because I got to meet other kids that were around the same age as me. This affected my mental and social health because I knew kids of my age and started making friends which gave me confidence. This improved my physical health further as I participated in activities that developed my fitness and coordination skills

  • FIRST DAY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL: Starting primary school brings many opportunities to develop new friendships which benefited me emotionally and socially. My physical health continued to grow strong as I participated in team sports and I built up my immunity to common viruses through contact with a wider group of people

  • GETTING MY DOG (GRACIE): Getting a dog would have effected my emotional health by lowering stress and making me feel not as lonely by giving me company. She would have made me feel needed because I would need to feed her and take her on walks. Taking her on walks made me more fit and increased my stability.

  • GRADUATION: it affected me positively because it was an academic achievement and gave me more confidence with school work. Graduating affected me negatively by having to leave my friend group and going into the unknown which created some anxiety and worry about what came next.

  • FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL: The first day of high school affected my mental health negatively because I got stressed about being organised and getting to school with public transport was a lot different. Socially I was isolated because I didn't know many people or any teachers. It was helpful physically because of the exercise of walking to and from school.
