Boston Massacre 1770
The colonies helped win the French and Indian war, and think think they deserve the land since they helped fight for it. But the king wont allow the Colonists cross into the new land.
Boston Tea Party 1773
King George the third sent a couple thousand troops to the colonies to "keep peace" and enforce the proclamation. But colonists got suspicious that they were sent to control instead, and were forced to house the soldiers.
Intolerable Acts 1774
ALL town meetings are prohibited!
A couple British soldiers opened fire in Boston and killed 5 colonists. They were soon put on trial for murder.
Lexington and Concord 1775

In 1773, colonists dressed as Native Americans threw away teat that would be worth millions in today's standards. The British were furious.
Due to the Boston Tea Party, the British took action and punished the colonists. They closed the Boston port, stopped all town meetings, and made citizens house soldiers again.
British Soldiers marched to Lexington and Concord to look for colonial weapons, and 2 trouble makers; Samual Adams and John Hancock. But Colonists fought back. The revolutionary war began.
