Storyboard Text

  • "Today, we will talk and write about our favorite pets."
  • Chris looks angry, sad, and sighs deeply
  • "Please get started and I’ll be coming around the class to see how you’re doing.”
  • “I’m not talking about a stupid pet."
  • "Chris, I can tell something is bothering you. I wish you would share it with me.”
  • "Nothing."
  • "I know you like animals. Can you tell me what you are upset about?"
  • "My dog died last week, I really loved him so much."
  • Put his head down on the desk and starts to cry
  • "For now, would you like to try to talk about something else?”
  • "I'm so sorry to hear that Chris, I can certainly understand why this work would really upset you."
  • "I love my dog, I know how terrible to lose them. I'd like to talk about this later in private if you like."
  • "I guess so."
  • “Ok, great. Have any ideas of what you might want to talk?”
  • "That’s a wonderful idea. If you feel ok now, I’m going to check the rest of the class. Please let me know if you need me, ok?”
  • "Maybe the vacation I had this summer."
  • "Ok, I will"
