Storyboard Text

  • If you weren't going to die in seven days, what would you want to do with your life?
  • I'd want to study marine biology
  • Aysel is a 16 year old physics nerd who is obsessed in plotting her own death. She lives in Langston, Kentucky which is 15 minutes away from her suicide partner named Roman, who will help her go through with her suicide plan. In thirty days they will jump off a cliff and end their lives together.
  • Aysel and Roman are both determine to die because of a family incident. As they grow closer, Aysel is beginning to reconsider her life and she wants Roman to feel the same. She needs to figure out how to show Roman that he deserves to live. However, she is afraid that he would flip out because Roman seems to be final in his decision in committing suicide.
  • Roman really wants to know what her dad did and she uses his curiosity as her advantage to ask a question to know something about him that will make her believe that there is a chance to save Roman. Her heart leaps with a surge of hope as she listens to Roman's answer.
  • Aysel is determine to convince Roman. She figure that she'll start by selling him on the road trip to the ocean and hope the rest will come naturally but when she arrive at Roman's house, 3 days before they will commit suicide, she found him unconscious in the driver's seat in his garage full of exhaust.
  • Roman knew that Aysel changed her mind and he cares about her too much to watch her die. He wants her to live, so he did it alone because he still believes that he does not deserve to live. Aysel tells him about her feelings towards him and encourage him to live not for her but for himself.
  • Roman is struggling to cope with his grief. His recovery with depression is long and ongoing. Aysel knows that the only thing there is to do is to be with him and help him. Roman shows implicit inclination to cooperate and it seems to assure Aysel, making her feel hopeful of his implication.
