2.) From the perspective of Victor: I was the only child my parents had for awhile. My parents are both Genevese and have known each other for a long time.
3.) My mother is the daughter of my father’s bestfriend. When Beau (my fathers bestfriend) died my father, Alphonse Frankenstein, cared for her & 2 years later they got married.
4.) “He came like a protecting spirit to the poor girl, who commited herself to his care; and the interment of his friend he conducted her to Geneva and placed her to the protection of a relation” (Shelley 20).
1.) Chapter one starts off with Victor Frankenstein (the creator of Frankenstein) telling us background information about himself.
Perspective of Victors parents: After we got married, we began travelling to Italy, Germany, and Naples. In Italy is where we had our first child, Victor.
After we had our first born, Victor, we continued to travel and found ourselves in Italy after already having been to Germany and France.
“From Italy they visited Germany and France. I, their eldest child, was born at Naples, and as an infant accompanied them in their rambles” (Shelley 21).
It was in Italy that my parents had adopted a little orphan girl. We grew up together and I became close to her. Her name is Elizabeth Lavenza.
“They were fond of the sweet orphan. Her presence had seemed a blessing to them, but it would be unfair to keep her in poverty and want when Province afforded her such powerful protection” (Shelley 23).
