Storyboard Text

  • Friar Lawrence enters the tomb and sees Romeo and Paris dead. Juliet wakes up from her deep sleep.
  • "O comfortable friar, where is my lord? I do remember well where I should be, and there I am. Where is my Romeo?"
  • "Thy husband in thy bosom there lies dead, and Paris to. Come, I'll dispose of thee."
  • Juliet refuses to leave with Friar Lawrence and notices the poison that Romeo is holding in his hand.
  • "What's here? A cup closed in my true love's hand? Poison I see, hath been his timeless end."
  • Juliet hears the Watch on the way into the tomb and quickly grabs Romeo's dagger and kills herself.
  • "Yea, noise? Then I'll be brief. O, happy dagger, this is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die."
  • The Prince is called out to see what has happened in the Capulet's tomb. Both Capulet and Lady Capulet arrive to speak with the Prince.
  • "What misadventure is so early up, that calls our person from our morning rest?"
  • "O, the people in the street cry "Romeo", some "Juliet" and some "Paris", and all run with open outcry toward our monument."
  • "What should it be that is so [shrieked] abroad?"
  • The Prince, Capulet and Lady Capulet enter the tomb and see for themselves how bad things are.
  • "O heavens! O wife, look how our daughter bleeds! This dagger hath mista'en, for, lo, his house is an empty on the back of Montague."
  • Montague enters and is in shock over his sons death.
  • "O thou untaught! What manners is in this, to press before thy father to a grave?"
