AMPHETAMINES & METHYPHENIDATE
Medications such as these are recommended with food to avoid upset stomach, however you can take them without. It is also recommended to take in the morning or at least 4 hours before bed to avoid insomnia or other sleep issues.
ADDERRALL and RITALIN
Are CNS stimulants, and Schedule II drug. They are prescribed for the treatment of ADD/ADHD as well as narcolepsy.
Amphetamine, the active ingredient of Adderall, works primarily by increasing the activity of the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. Methylphenidate inhibits the reuptake of dopamine and norepinephrine, increased dopaminergic and noradrenergic activity in the prefrontal cortex may explain its efficacy in ADHD.
