Storyboard Text

  • I'm great Rachel! Thanks for asking!
  • Hi Emma! How are you today?
  • Heritage Point
  • OMG!!
  • Heritage Point
  • Hello? Can I get an ambulance at the Heritage Point Pool?
  • Rachel Rosoff was a lifeguard at the local Heritage Point Community pool. She was a senior enrolled at Enloe High School, scheduled to graduate in 2017.
  • Will Chavis
  •  I think that we should definitely recognize and have a speech about Rachel at graduation
  • On September 3rd, 2016 she was at the pool, and there was said to be a big storm that was coming. All of a sudden a huge lightning bolt struck her, and she fell unconscious into the pool.
  • Hmmm... I dont like this but I guess we wont mention Rachel. I should email her mother
  • What? They're not even going to recognize my little girl at her own graduation?
  • The students aren't going to be able to handle hearing her name
  • Because of the storm, there weren't many people there, so it took a while to contact Rachel's parents and an ambulance. Sadly, they were too late, and by the time the ambulance arrived, Rachel had passed away.
  • So it is decided! There will be a moment of silence for Rachel Rosoff at graduation.
  • A few months passed, and the principal of Enloe High School, William Chavis, decided to mention Rachel and her death at graduation.
  • Unfortunately, there was a disagreement on the school board, and it was said that Rachel's death would not be mentioned at all at graduation.  Principal Chavis emailed Michelle Rosoff about the situation and she was devastated.
  • Principal Chavis did not like this decision, so he scheduled a meeting with the school board and after a long while of arguing, they decided that Rachel wouldn't get a speech, but a moment of silence. Her honor would also be represented by a special vase.
