  • When two kind gentlemen ask for Scrooge to donate money to the poor, he says he doesn't care about them, and is willing to let them die. This shows that Scrooge is cruel and heartless.

  • The Ghost of Christmas Past is filled in a room full of all kinds of foods, so he symbolizes Christmas dinner and parties and other celebrations.

  • When visiting his past, Scrooge feels sorry for himself because his father didn't let him come home for Christmas, and is conflicted.
