  • Stop
  • MAMA! I'm hungry.
  • But Charlie. There is no more food.
  • Is that a plane?I think it is!
  • The Soviet Union blocked allied support from entering Berlin. Supplies were not allowed to enter.
  • I wonder what is in the box?Looks like food and supplies.
  • In a broken down buling, a young boy named Max is hungry. His mom, Gurtrude, has no food since the Soviets closed the border.
  • MAMA! I found food and water. The Americans dropped supplies from planes.
  • Thank you Max! You are a good kid.
  • Max, still hungry, goes outside because of the sounds he heard. He figures out that it is a plane.
  • You can go!
  • All of a sudden, the plane drops a box. When Max opens it he finds food, clothes, and water.
  • Max brings back some food and water for his family. Luckily, they will survive the hardships.
  • On May 12, 1949 the Soviet Union opened the blockade to supply runs. The Berlin Airlift was a success.
