  • At first the Germans didn't seem so bad. So no one listen to Moishe. Moishe was telling everyone what the Germans were capable of. And everyone later finds out that Moishe is telling the truth
  • Chapter 4

  • Jews started to get onto trains including The Wiesel family.The German soldiers threatened to kill everyone if someone went missing. The Jews finally arrived to Birkenau.

  • The German soldiers order the men to go to the left and the women to go to the right. Elie did not realize that he would never see his mother and sister ever again.  An Jew went up to Elie and his father and told them what to say to the German soldier and basically saved their lives.

  • It was the first day in the camp and they had to choose a job they they knew would be best for them. On the second day there was a medical checkup that everyone had to do. But there was a dentist that was bad a tried to take away all the gold crowns to make money.
  • The Jews were celebrate Rosh Hashanah. But many gave up on their God and weren't celebrating. Elie foot started to swell up because of the winter season and goes to the doctor and stays there because Elie has to get operated on.
