  • Mary the first was born Monday, February 18, 1516 at the palace of Placentia in Greenwich. She was baptized on the following Wednesday and Cardinal Wolsey standing as her god father.
  • She was throne when she was 37 and she haven't been married yet.Mary had been raised Catholic and wanted to make England a Catholic kingdom again.
  • Mary I attempted to restore the Catholic religion in England, and she married Philip II the Catholic king of Spain. Mary arrested Protestants who opposed her.
  • In her struggle to make England Catholic again, Mary burned 300 people at stake.
  • She was a Catholic and she tried to help her people because, she was terrified and thought things were going to happen to them.
  • She persecuted hundreds of protestants and earned the moniker '' Bloody Mary." She died from what have been an uterine or ovarian cancer. She only ruled for 5 years. She died at St. James palace in London on November 17, 1588.
