Main Character (MC) is out partying with friends and is offered drugs by a stranger on the night out. Audience doesn't see MC's whole face until later.
Close up of MC's hand recieving drugs and then possibly a close up of her eye with the pupil dilating. Sound starts fading as the drug takes effect. Red light to symbolise danger and cut to black.
MC leaves the party alone and walks down a dark street in the middle of the night- stumbles around intoxicated. Before she gets home she finds a 'magic lamp', rubs it, a light shines and then camera cuts to a scene of her alarm going off.
MC wakes up and gets dressed, everything seems normal. She goes into the bathroom, washes her face but when she looks up her reflection in the mirror is of a completely different person. She panics and calls her best friend to come over. The friend comes over but she can't see anything unusual and believes that MC is going insane. MC gets mad so the friend tries to calm her down and they go out to lunch.
At lunch, MC calms down a bit but there are hints here and there of her deteriorating mental state. Her best friend notices this and is very worried so she makes an appointment for MC with a psychiatrist. MC doesn't know that she did this. Whenever the events of the previous night are mentioned, MC becomes annoyed and overly defensive as she knows her friend doesn't believe her.
The best friend drives MC to the appointment telling her that they're just going to pick up her own medication. They sit in the waiting room. MC's state is clearly getting worse, she's extremely paranoid and starts hearing things. MC gets called up to her appointment by the psychiatrist. MC feels betrayed by her friend but the friend just tells her to go talk to a professional as she is worried. MC becomes borderline hostile towards her friend and gets taken to her appointment. She drops some of the drugs on the way there. It is revealed that the events of the party had happened over a week ago and she has been addicted to the drugs ever since.
