  • This is Greg, and he LOVES to cook!He cooks every meal by hand, and he's gotten quite good.
  • Today, he's making a chicken dinner, and he put the raw poultry right on the counter top
  • Uh oh! Greg didn't wipe down the counter and cut his bread on the same area!
  • Greg started to feel sick; He felt nauseous, had cramps, and he had bloody diarrhea, he grew concerned
  • Greg left to see a doctor shortly after he felt sick
  • Greg, unfortunately I have to diagnose you with Campylobacter, this is a foodborne illness that occurs after handling raw poultry, and consuming it. I recommend staying on bed, and getting lots of fluids. If it gets worse you can come back and I'll give you an antibiotic.
  • After about 4 days, Greg felt like a million bucks! Now he knows how to prepare raw poultry, and prevent many more foodborne illnesses. Now he can fully enjoy cooking again!
