The final scene is important because Paris sees Romeo at Juliet's tomb, confronts him and Romeo kills Paris. Romeo sees Juliet, speaks about Juliet not appearing dead. Romeo then takes the potion, he dies without knowing Juliet is asleep. Juliet awakes, sees Romeo dead, takes the knife and stabs herself. The star- crossed lovers lives end.
