Joan started hearing voices at 13. The voices told her she needed to help Charles become the King of France. The voices also wanted her to free France from the English.

Joan went to find Charles at 17 and disguised herself as a man. Joan picked Charles out of a crowd and knelt before him. Charles then believed that God sent her.

After getting her armor and sword, she led the French troops into battle. Joan got hit by an arrow, but pulled it out and kept fighting. Then, the English retreated.

There was an attack at Compiegne. The French was forced to retreat. The mayor trapped Joan and the Burgundians captured her. Charles made no effort to rescue her, but the English paid ransom for Joan.

Joan went to trial in Raven. She went to trial for witchcraft, heresy, and spreading the wrong religious teachings. She decides to confess, but then decided to stay true to her beliefs. Execution was her punishment.

Joan was 19 when she was burned at the stake. Joan's life story became a legend. She later got the title of a Catholic Saint. She was a beloved French hero.
