La Bamba By Gary Soto
LA BAMBA!!! LA BAMBA!!! LA BAMBA!!!.......
In the beginning of the story, Manuel is second guessing himself and he thinks he shouldn't have volunteered for the talent show. Manuel also thinks that everyone is going to laugh and make fun of him.So to help Manuel his friend Benny helps Manuel make up some dance moves.
In the middle of the story, Manuel has after school practice for the talent show and after Manuel got done practicing he watched his friend, Benny play his trumpet. But when Benny started playing his trumpet it scared Manuel that he jumped and dropped the record. But then it was the next day and before Manuel new it he was getting ready backstage.
Lastly, at the end of the story when Manuel goes on to perform, everything was going fine until the record kept repeating. So when the record started repeating Manuel just kept singing La Bamba and doing the same dance moves over and over again. But it ended up working out because girls were sreaming and people were laughing.
