  • Hello my name is Trinity and I am going to help you guys understand cells. Understanding cells has a lot to do with the four dates that I am going to talk to you about there are a lot of other people who are a big help to understanding what cells are but the ones I am going to talk about are Hooke, Leeuwenhoek, Schneider, and Schwann.

  • This is Hooke he was the first one to see cells in 1665

  • The cork seems to have little dots all over it... I think I will call those spots cells
  • This is Leeuwenhoek he discovered animals and plants have cells in 1674

  • Animals and Plants have cells!
  • This is Schleiden he discovered that all plant parts have cells in 1831... I didn't even know that plants had parts

  • This is Schwann he was really smart and discovered that all animal parts have cells in 1838

  • All of these four dates help us understand cells... All together they make up a cell theory, consisting of these three things. 1.All cells come from other cells, 2. All living things are made up of cells 3. Cells are the basic unit of structure and function in living things
