Donner called Charlie into his office and announced that Charlie is fired from his job at the bakery.
I've tried my best to do a good job. I've work hard...
Nothing's wrong with your work. But somthing happened to you, and I don't know what it means.
The bakery is my home....
I'm sorry , Charlie.
Both of you have been avoiding me. Why?
Why? I'll tell you why. Because all of a sudden you're a big shot, a know-it-all, a brain!
Charlie tried to convinced his "friends" but it seems like he made them uncomfortable.
You think you're better than the rest of us here? Okay, go someplace else.
Fanny was the only one who didn't think that Charlie shoule be force to leave, but she also thought there was something ain't right about Charlie.
What's wrong with a person wanting to be more intelligent ?
Maybe it ain't too late to get out of it. Maybe you could go back to being the good simple man you was before.
The way you've changed!
There'Charlie wants to be smart because he wants everybody to like him. He will have more friends. However, it is totally different to his imaginary. His intelligence has driven him a wedge between him and all the people he loved, driven him out of the bakery.
