  • The most important reason why France was led to the French Revolution was because of the financial problems that they had throughout the time. When King Louis XVI brought in Jacques Necker the Second estate did not appreciate and forced the kind to get rid of him. This showed that the second estate had more power than the king. There is a list of reasons why France was in national debt: spent tons of money on big parties, the Seven Year´s war took a lot of money and spent a lot of money on a lavish court.
  • Storming of the Bastille
  • The Estates General was the legislative body that consisted of representatives. King Louis XVI one day called the Estates General. An Estates General had not been called by a king in 175 years because it brought fear that the nobles would use it to take feudal powers that they have lost.
  • French Revolution Begins
  • The National Assembly was locked out of their 
  • 
  • When the Parisians heard a rumor there Royal troops were going to take over the capital they decided to make a big group of over 800 people to gather and assemble outside of the Bastille. The Bastille is a fortress that imprisoned political and other types of prisoners. The commander did not open the gates and opened fire on the crowd. Eventually, the Parisians broke their way through the gate and killed all of the guards and the commander. This is how the French Revolution started.
  • The Attack on the Bastille was really the actual starting point of the French Revolution. This is when the Queen is chased out of her chambers into the king Louis´s office.
