  • The Help
  • Hi my name is Aibileen. I am a maid. I work for Miss Leefolt. 
  • All about Aibileen
  • "Law! For a women who ain't said nothing to me but do this and use the that bathroom, all a sudden she talking to me like I'm her best friend." 
  • Trying to train May Mobley to use the bathrom. 
  • "Lady, you didn't raise your child at all." (111)
  • Aibileen takes care of Mae Mobley Miss Leefolt's daughter. " But I ain't never seen a baby yell like Mae Mobley Leefolt."  
  • Mumbling under her breath.
  • Aibileen is saying in this is that Miss Leefolt is just happy that she can get away. Aibileen Loves Mae Mobley and just wants her mom to show her love. 
  • How Aibileen gets to work. 
  • Aibileen was trying to teach May Mobley to go to the bathroom. While they were trying to go to the bathroom Mae Mobley said she couldn't go and said that Aibileen had to go. So Aibileen went to her bathroom outside and used it then May Mobley also used it. 
  • Helping Minny
  • Mae Mobley got smacked on her leg by her mom because she used the maids bathroom. Aibileen wanted to say so much stuff to Miss. Leefolt. Aibileen didn't say anything to her 
  • " I'm real sorry, Mae Mobley." I whisper to her. I'm cussing myself for taking her in therein the first place. But I don't know what else to say, so I just told her. (111)
  • Aibileen takes the bus to work everyday because she lives across town. The white people don't want blacks near them most of the time. Most of the whit peopele don't want the blacks to use their bathroom. 
  • "The bus speeds up along State Street." (111)
  • "I want to yell so loud that Baby Girl can hear me that dirty ain't color, disease ain't Negro side a town." (112)
  • Aibileen is trying to get Minny to be confident about going in to answer questions. Minny didn't have to answer the questions but she did and she was very strong while trying. 
  • "You don't have to do this, Minny."
