  • Time to Take Away What I Can
  • Judicial Review
  • President John Adams wanted the federalists to have more power over the Democratic Republicans, so he appointed federalist judges to the courts and Marbury to be justice of the peace.
  • Secretary of State James Madison did not deliver John Adams instructions and Marbury did not become justice of the peace because it was too late. But he still got it because the court let him get the job.
  • Judicial Review established that the supreme court can declare laws and actions and unconstitutional and veto it which means that means that Marbury that was made justice of the peace at the last second but what not carried out in time means he did not get the job.
