Storyboard Text

  • In the beginning, there was the Sun. The Sun produced photons that the plants of the Earth use. One was named Mr, P.
  • Mr. P traveled a very long way to get to the plant. He was taken in at such a high speed that he broke water apart!
  • Within the cell, there is a organelle containing thylakoids. There, Mr. P splits water apart. Afterward, those molecules are used in the Calvin cycle to produce glucose. Mr. P saw a big circle that went around and around. Taking in CO2 6 times and producing only one glucose.
  • Along came a dinosaur that munched on the leaf that Mr. P was in. He was no longer Mr. P, but a weird part of the dinosaur. He saw everything yet could do nothing.
  • He must be joking, these leaves are awfuly tasty though.
  • RAWWW FEAR ME!!
  • Mr. P watched as the newly formed glucose met Mito. Mito was a weird thing, with lines running across him. He heard the glucose cry out "Oh my I have a new name! I am pyruvate."

  • Taking a closer look, Mr. P noticed a weird thing called CoA that make pyruvate disappear. He noticed a lot of things were moving down a line, something called the ETC. It ended with ATP Synthase. Mr. P noticed when something got to the end, 34 new molecules were created! He was told these were the legendary ATP, the energy currency of the cell.
