A story about an ungrateful king learning his lesson about his greed. for math class.
Once upon a time, there was a king and queen who lived in a castle. He was a spoiled, unhappy, and ungrateful king who wanted a bigger castle. Everyday he would complain about how his castle was too small for him. And every time, the answer would be the same.
I want a bigger Castle!
My lord, we do not have the supplies to dilate our castle by 2.
He would try and try but the answer never changes. It got to the point where the wife would leave because she could not take it anymore.
No! I've told you 300 times. We cannot! I'm leaving!
My love, I want a bigger castle! It's too small for the two of us.
But one day, the king finally got his wish. The wife could not stand to hear him complain anymore, so she gave approval of an extended castle.
Trust me my love, you will not regret having a bigger castle! Please!
Fine. I do not want to hear another word about this come out of your mouth!
My lord, we cannot dilate your castle by 2. We do not have enough brick and wood to make those changes.
He went into town to talk to the builders. However, he found out the hard way that his wish could not be granted. He was devastated. He then lived the rest of his days sad and silent.
This cannot be! My wife finally says yes but we can't? I hate my life!
