"Everything is wrong, but so perfectly right....The last little doubts are gone, and the fear leaves with them. I'm free. I'm finally free" (Daniels 12)
When Dreadnought dies, Danny is shocked. She doesn't know what to do and doesn't know if shes responsible or what she could do to help. While she is freaking out, she is unknowingly given superpowers, and given a female body; what she's always wanted.
"This is Danny. Look at...well, look." (Daniels 21)
"Wh--I don't have a daughter." (Daniels 20)
Danny is turned into a girl. She had just been given her powers and she is so shocked. She doesn't know what to do. She's been given what she has always wanted. But, she knew it would never happen. She knew it wasn't possible. This is why she was so shocked. She knew that since she was transgender, male to female, she would never be able to live with a female body, even if that was what she wanted.
Propels the action by
"Don't you worry....We're going to make this right. I love you. You're my son" (Daniels 21)
"Something happened. I, uh--" (Daniels 20)
After realizing this is actually happening, Danny is so happy about being transformed and given powers but she has no idea how to approach her parents about this. How is she just going to say something along the lines of "hey..so I was walking to get nail polish and then dreadnought fell out of the sky.. and now I'm a girl with superpowers..."? She's so confused and happy at the same time but doesn't know how to approach the situation
When Danny first walks in to her house, her dad is just confused as to why some "random girl" is coming into his house. Danny doesn't know what to do because her dad won't believe her. Her mom finally realizes it's her and tries to convince her father.
As soon as Danny's parent realize what happened, her day wants to fix it. She is too afraid to tell her dad what she felt. She was determined to stay this way forever no matter what it took, because she was so happy this way, and didn't want that to be ruined by her dad.
Afterwards, she didn't know what to do. She thought she didn't deserve it and she thought she would never be able to be herself. She was just too afraid to say anything and she knew what would happen if she did tell her parents.
