You're a demon!
Edgar Allen sat guessing what the Raven meant with him repeating nevermore. He was trying to figure out if the reply had a message he couldn't see.
Stanza 16
That's bad luck.
Edgar Allen Poe says the air grew dense because of an unseen spirit in the air. He suspects that is the Raven who is the evil spirit.
Stanza 17
We should part ways.
Edgar Allen now thinks that the Raven is a demon and is sent by the devil. He responds to him with, "Nevermore."
Stanza 18
The Raven flies and sits on top of his statue, which indicates bad luck. Edgar Allen gets worried and angered by the Raven sitting on it.
"Be the word our sign of parting," says Edgar Allen to the Raven. The Raven responds, "Nevermore".
The Raven sitting on top of the chamber door its shadow projected. The Raven kills Edgar Allen Poe and sits on top of the door.
