Why should we include your study in our news paper, Mr. Milgram?
Well, I believe our study shows groundbreaking discovery on the mindsets of humans: Why we willingly obey others.
I was inspired to do this study by the Holocaust, wondering why people would follow a leader so willingly.
No college would take my idea for study, saying that it was either too dangerous or too inhumane.
Until I asked Yale University, who took me and the experiment with open arms.
I gathered 636 participants. I would have two of them meet with each other then I would draw straws to see who would be a learner, or a teacher.
I would then separate the two and strap the learner into a chair with electrodes.
The Teacher would shock the Learner every time they got the answer wrong, a man in a lab coat would play the role as an authority figure. Anytime the Teacher would not shock the learner, one out of four prods would be read.
