- In the early parts of american colonization, there were only 50,000 people. Now in the 1750's, there are over 1 million people
- The English in North America wanted go to go the Appalachian mountains and Ohio Valley.But the french were settled there and they built a fort to honor their claim.
- The french's whereabouts made the governor of Virginia send the militia to drive out the french and they were successful. They were led by George Washington and this started the french and indian war.
- In 1755, the British sent 1400 soldiers to end the war. They ended up failing because they got ambushed by French and Indian forces.
- In 1759, French Canada was captured by the British
