  • Welcome to France
  • I believe in divine rights and don't plan on meeting with the Estate General.
  • People will know my wealth and power through my lavish life.
  • L’etat, c’est moi!
  • Estate General
  • I don't understand. Why we need to meet?
  • Well you were out voted and no one cares about what you think.
  • France is going through a financial crisis. We are facing massive debt.
  • And the way the way the First and second estate treat the third estate.
  • National Assembly 
  • We will stand up to such treatment. It will not be tolerated. 
  • Rousseau believed that people were naturally good but living in a corrupt society. 
  • Locke help us understand that humans state of nature is conflict.
  • If the government doesn't fulfill our needs, we can revolt.
  • Man is born free, and everywhere in chains. We need equality, not just freedom.
  • We all sword to the Tennis Court Oath. so let the revolution begin.
  • In France, King Louis XIV was ruler and wanted everyone to know.
  • "Off with their Heads!"
  • Off with their heads!
  • We'er the Louis that continue the reign of absolutism.
  • Eventually, France has a problem with Political and economical ideas.

  • I have done nothing wrong.
  • After the meeting, the third estate broke away and called themselves the National Assembly. They were helped by Robespierre and his group, the Jacobin to storming the Bastille. 
  • Napoleon, the Short Soldier 
  • Even though I don't like to be called an emperor, I did live an emperor lifestyle.
  • I go by enlightenment ideas. 
  • After the writing of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, in the economy is still down. The people started to riot and started to execute by guillotine. 
  • After killing the king and queen, Robespierre started a new republic. During his control, Robespierre executed what he called “traitors” for disagreeing or questioning his authority.
  • The people eventually didn't like Robespierre so they executed him. The National Assembly was returned back into the third government which didn't help the economy. Then Napoleon shows up and as a military general and led a coup d'état & seized power in France. 
  • As a result of the French Revolution, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
  • France had 3 constitutions and 5 governments within the 10 years.
