Liesel's parents plan to give Liesel and her brother up for adoption and bring them to a foster home, because they would be safer from the war. Liesel's father then leaves when no one is expecting it and that leaves Liesel's mother alone to take two kids to a foster home by herself.
I'm sorry I have to leave.
No I can't let them go
As Liesel, her mother, and brother, were all riding the train when death struck. Liesel's brother died mid-train ride and left Liesel with an upset mother and no longer having a brother. Liesel was heading to the foster home. Liesel was very upset and didn't know what to do.
Liesel arrived at the foster home and Rosa and Hans were welcoming Liesel with warm hearts and open hands. Still, this change was a big step from where she used to live, and without her brother that was an even bigger step.
Liesel walked into her room and started to unpack. She realized that she is finally home. Liesel stayed in her new house for a few days and started to get used to not having her mother and father, and is just beginning to get used to Rosa and Hans.
Liesel's brother sadly passed away on the train a few days ago. Liesel visited the graveyard to bury her brother. She stayed there for a few minutes to observe the scene, she discovered something shocking.
As Liesel was about to leave the cemetery she discovered something shocking. She found a small book, that was labeled, " Grave Diggers Handbook". That's the moment Liesel became, THE BOOK THIEF!
