Ming lived in Hawaii in a house with her family and has lots of friends
Then on December 7 1941 Japanese bombed after Pearl Harbor
Ming had to go to a camp with her family because she was Japanese. She felt hopeless and confused because she was away from her friends.
Why did this happen to her and what can she do to help the other people that are with her? Mings father says, cheer up and think happy
The Solder treat the people bad there was not a lot of food in the camp. Then Ming realizes her father was right when she has a dream about home. Then she felt happy. She is away from home but with her family.
Ming Escapes the camp by a Train back to her Home With her friends
