  • In the year of 1989, a massive earthquake hit San Francisco. It was a 6.9 magnitude on the Richter.
  • Do you guys feel an earthquake?
  • In the year of 1989 a monstrous earthquake hit San Francisco. It measured a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale.
  • The earthquake happened to hit right before the 3rd game of the world series
  • Hurray! We love baseball!
  • The two teams that were playing were the Oakland Athletics, and the San Francisco Giants.
  • The quake only lasted 15 seconds, but it killed 63 people and injured 3,000.
  • Noooooooooo!
  • The quake also took down a bridge and destroyed many houses.
  • Almost all the electricity in the city was out.
  • The earthquake broke natural gas lines that led to fires.
  • It is one of America's greatest tragedy's. It killed many people and destroyed tons of buildings.
  • The total damage cost was about 5 billion dollars.
  • It left 400,000 people homeless.
  • It was one of America's biggest earthquakes.
